The Town of Winchendon operates a transfer station located on River Street that is open to all town residents for their disposal of household waste and recyclables.
Transfer Station Hours:
Tuesday - Saturday 9am - 4pm
Any resident wishing to use the transfer station must have a current transfer station permit affixed to their vehicle's driver side windshield. Permits are available at the Treasurer/Collector's Office in Town Hall and cost $50 per year. All refuse disposed of at the transfer station must be in an official Town of Winchendon Bag, a 33 gallon bag which costs $4.00 per bag and a 15 gallon bag at $2.00 per bag.

You may pay for disposal items at the town hall collector's office or by check only at the transfer station. Make checks payable to the Town of Winchendon and include your phone number and permit # on the check if you have one.
